I got into a car accident in October with a woman who ran a red light and my car got totaled. I was fortunate to walk away but have been left stranded without a car. To date, we have finally settled with the insurance company but due to paperwork technicalities, I have not received a check yet. No $ = No car.
I am lucky to have a wonderful support group of family, friends, and a boyfriend who have been able to get me from point a to point b. However, being dependent on others leaves me with a lot of waiting time. I have learned to always keep my phone charged and a book in my purse.
