ugghhh! I’m so frustrated.
My car battery is dead. dead dead. My coworker brought me a charger and it didn’t work. A sweet guy saw my struggles and was able to jump my car with his and it started. Yay! I sat with it running for just over an hour (didn’t want to loose my parking spot in case it was dead). I turned it off and tried to start it again…dead.
I looked up my warranty and my battery is covered. But now, I can’t guarantee that I will have anyone that jump me in order to scheduled a service appointment. And I don’t want to take time off work to stand next to my car like a crazy person. I have a free battery, but no way to get my car out there.
My other option is to spend $125 on a new battery, uber it home (those suckers are heavy!) and then my BF can replace it.
I have to take care of it this week because we move this weekend and street cleaning starts next week.
Sometimes city life really sucks. Not knowing anyone with a car to jump me…sucks.
My body hates me today but I love these ladies! So much fun was had at the tumblr brunch turned all day outing.
I had so much fun with these ladies yesterday! I’m so happy that so many awesome women live in my city and even my neighborhood (I’m looking at you bostonbrunette)…I can’t wait to do it again soon! But not too soon because my liver most definitely needs a break.
So excited to see all you ladies again soon!
Best brunch ever and I am still tired.
The best Saturday! It was great getting to meet so many lovely ladies! I can’t wait for next time.
Today, though, I’m paying for it…trying to get motivation to pack when you’re hungover is not fun.
When I realize that now I have to wait a year for another episode:
Yes! I am so sad that it is over!
Everyone else can go home. This guy has already won Valentine’s Day.
This is fabulous! I love that she says “Yes, but I’m more interested in the dogs!”
Apartment hunting & moving really sucks…until days like today!
Our lease is up the beginning of March and while our lovely basement apartment has been great to us, it is time to move on.
The BF & I have been trying to narrow down what area we wanted to live in, what we could realistically afford, and where we could get the most space for our money.
We finally decided on an apartment complex we both liked that was within our price range and easy metro access to both of our jobs. I had reached out to them this morning to schedule a time to finalize a floor plan and process our deposit.
Well, she said that they have a penthouse apartment with loft available if we were interested. My instinct was to laugh and tell her “we can’t afford that!" but I let her continue. Sure enough, somehow, this unit is less than what we were willing to spend on a one bedroom. And it has a staircase up to the loft area which is connected to a private roof deck terrace. omg!
I can hardly contain my excitement. We go tomorrow morning to tour it and hopefully sign the lease.
I have to say, the amount of rent out here for a one bedroom (or any number of rooms) hurts my heart & bank account! Each month all I can think about is how much more we could somewhere else. But, I love DC!

Not just Monday, everyday!
Is anyone else playing this addicting game? I saw on BuzzFeed that the owner is taking the game down tomorrow, so of course I had to download it see what all the hype was. And OMG! The BF and I are hooked! Competing to see who can get the highest score (me: 13 him: 10). It is the simiplest game, yet so hard!
If you’re playing, what is your highest score?
