Ashley’s PSA of the day: yesterday, i had a conversation with a man who’s left leg was amputated. imagine the sweetest, kindest older gentleman you’ve ever met. we talked about how much he missed playing in the leaves on a beautiful fall day. today, he went into surgery, as his right leg was being amputated.
friends, go play in the leaves.*
*this was my facebook status yesterday, but I feel the need for it to be tumbled.
If you can watch this without finding it hilarious, I think we’re done here.
Best part at the :50 mark.
I can sing high like this….JESUS!
One of the best parts of the movie! I can no longer hear “Sweet Child of Mine” without thinking of this clip.
I fucking love this commercial. I work with a woman that sounds just like the pothole and whenever she says “oh no” my day improves.
this is one of the few bajillion reasons we’re bff’s, alishan. seriously. everytime this commercial comes on i crack up. and whoever i’m with, stares at me blankly. it’s awesome.
this is hilarious! I can’t stop watching it. :)
HOUSTON (Reuters) - Twelve people were killed and at least 31 were wounded when a soldier went on a shooting rampage at the Fort Hood U.S. Army base at Fort Hood Texas on Thursday, base commander Lieutenant-General Bob Cone said.
Cone told reporters at the base that the gunman was killed in the attack at the facility, the biggest military base in the world and a prime point of deployment for U.S. operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Two other soldiers were apprehended as suspects.
Cone said the shooting took place at a “Soldier Readiness Facility” where soldiers preparing for overseas deployment were getting last-minute medical checkups. The shooting took place at about 1:30 p.m. CST…………..
Absolutely tragic…I mean, I’m sure these soldiers and their families expect the worst when they are overseas on deployment, but for something like this to happen when they are AT HOME, is heartbreaking
I have not been able to turn off the TV. My heart just breaks for all of the men & women who lost their lives today and the family & friends who loved them. I am just shocked!
Here's to,
every friend who wasn’t there when you needed them.
every boy you cried over who wouldn’t cry over you.
every wish you made that never came true.
every bad day that seemed to last forever.
every red light you hit when you were running late.
every pair of jeans that made you feel fat.
every no that you needed to be a yes.
every rainy day that soaked you from head to toe.
every failed test and every forgotten homework assignment.
every time you were taken advantage of.
every tear that fell for no reason you could explain.
every time they screwed up your order at the drive thru.
every dead cell phone battery when you needed to make a call.
every gas light that turned on when you were almost there.
every alarm you slept through.
every call that never came.
every word you needed to hear that you never did.
every glance, every breath, every word that was just out of place.
every time you’ve felt alone.
throw it all to the wind.
it’s over starting today.
